    Frequently Asked Questions

How does the whole process work?
Start by calling or emailing us and we'll discuss your needs. From there, we can start the design and budgeting process according to your specs. Don't worry if you don't know exactly what you want - that's what we're here for. We can take your ideas, and help you bring them to life!
Once we settle on design and budget, the real fun begins!
What sort of aftercare can I expect?
Rock Solid Construction proudly stands behind our work! While the materials and components we use differ in manufacturer warranty periods (some of them up to 40 years!), you can be sure that we'll help you navigate those warranties should the need arise. We also offer a one-year warranty on our labor (if an installation error is made, it will be evident long before then).
How are payments handled and dealt with?
Payment arrangements vary depending on the project type and size. Smaller projects may have just a few installments scheduled throughout the course of the project, with the final payment due on completion; larger projects may require monthly payment requests based on the amount of work completed to that point.
How much does a metal building cost in Texas?
Metal building costs in Texas depend on size, design complexity, insulation, and site conditions. Expect roughly $15–$45 per square foot for the steel structure. Concrete foundation, electrical, plumbing, and insulation are additional. A 40x60 metal building in Texas might run $50,000–$120,000 fully finished depending on specs. Call us for a free, no-obligation quote based on your actual project.
Are metal buildings cheaper than wood buildings?
In most cases, yes. Metal buildings typically cost 10–25% less per square foot than wood-frame construction, and they go up faster, which saves on labor. They're also lower maintenance: no termite treatment, no rot, no repainting every few years. For commercial and agricultural use in West Texas, steel is almost always the smarter investment.
What is a metal building with concrete slab?
Most metal buildings we construct in West Texas sit on a reinforced concrete slab that provides a level, durable floor and anchors the steel frame. Slab thickness depends on the building's use: 4" is common for storage, 6" for shops with vehicle traffic, and 8"+ for heavy industrial. We pour the slab as part of our turnkey service.
